Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the creation and coordination of communications and marketing content, the maintenance of marketing quality, and other College-related initiatives ensuring the College’s successful marketing presence.
Responsibilities
- Understand Sprott Shaw College’s corporate culture, programs, campuses, and target demographics
- Writing compelling content designed to achieve Sprott Shaw College’s marketing goals (such as mass emails, blogs, etc.)
- Monitor SEO performance and write SEO-optimized content
- Proof and edit email copy, website content, graphic design copy, and social media content with a high level of discernment and keen attention to detail
- Travel to event destinations, Sprott Shaw campuses, or other locations for relevant events/activities to independently collect marketing content as required
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors and manage stock of promotional items and other marketing-related products and services
- Coordinate marketing team tasks and communicate task requirements and changes clearly and effectively to maintain quality and timely delivery
- Support the Director of Marketing in updating the website and CRM as required
- Generate marketing reports as needed
- Assist in graduation coordination leading up to and on graduation days
- Assist team members with content creation if needed (making videos, opinions on graphics, etc.
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications and Education
- Undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Writing experience is required
- SEO knowledge/experience preferred
- Project management experience is an asset
- Vehicle or access to a vehicle is preferred
