Reporting to the Campus Director and under the guidance of the Practical Nursing Coordinator, the Practical Nursing Instructor is responsible for delivering components of the Practical Nursing program to students.
Responsibilities
- Instructs curriculum using pre-authorized or Sprott Shaw materials
- Contribute to curriculum maintenance
- Administer assessments and grade student work
- Attend faculty meetings, in-service training sessions, program and college activities
- Supervising students during clinical placements, as needed
Qualifications and Education
- Current practicing license as an LPN, NP, RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Three (3) years of full-time nursing experience
- A credential in adult education/equivalent or in-progress from an accredited post-secondary institution; to be completed within 2 years of hire date

Compensation Range
- Registered Nurses: $42.00-$46.00 per hour
- Licensed Practical Nurses: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
- Most new instructors will be placed in the starting range. In some circumstances, new employees may be eligible for compensation beyond the starting point. Factors influencing salary decisions include qualifications and years of experience in similar roles
